Michael Nardi has spent decades studying the quilts of the 1940s — a period when thrift met artistry and ordinary fabric scraps became extraordinary heirlooms. Through Bryn Mawr Quilts, he reinterprets those traditions for today's quilter.

Every Bryn Mawr pattern is designed, pieced, and tested by Michael himself before it's released. When a design called for a cut that store-bought rulers couldn't make cleanly, he began creating his own — and the Bryn Mawr ruler line was born.

Bryn Mawr Quilts is the studio of designer Michael Nardi, where every pattern is rooted in the soft palettes and geometric charm of the 1940s — feed-sack florals, nine-patch stars, and the quiet symmetry that defined the era's needlework.
From beginner-friendly throws to heirloom showpieces, each pattern comes with clear, tested instructions and is designed to pair with our specialty rulers, so cutting is faster, safer, and far more accurate.
